If your mortgage is classed as a foreign currency mortgage, changes in the exchange rate may increase the Sterling equivalent of your debt.
INVESTMENT BUSINESS
The value of investments in unit-linked life and pensions products, ISA’s OEIC’s, unit trusts and investments trusts may fall as well as rise and you may not get back the full amount invested.
Life and pensions products are intended as long term investments as are, in general, ISA’s, OEIC’s, Unit Trusts and Investment Trusts.
The return on with profits funds depends on the profits made by the life office and on its policy as to their distribution (whether on early encashment or in adverse market conditions or other circumstances). Tax relief’s referred to are those currently applying and their value depends on the individual circumstances of the investor.
The property market can be illiquid where property may not always be readily saleable therefore under certain market conditions; there can be times when investors in property funds will be unable to sell their holdings until market conditions normalise. Property valuations are subjective and a matter of judgement.
Levels and bases of, and reliefs from taxation are subject to change. Any relief’s referred to are those currently applying.
Past performance should not be taken as an indicator of future performance.
