Mark started his career in banking at National Westminster Bank in 1985, before training as an independent financial adviser. Enjoying the mortgage aspect of the role, he left to become an independent mortgage broker before joining Savills PLC in 1997 as part of the launch team tasked with establishing Savills Private Finance.
Mark was promoted to managing director at the end of 2001 and under his stewardship the business expanded rapidly and profitably diversifying into areas such as international mortgages, commercial funding, wealth management and property insurance. Following the financial crisis Mark led a management buyout in 2011 and the re-branding of the business to SPF Private Clients.
