Melanie Bien, head of media relations for Savills Private Finance, was last night voted Mortgage PR of the Year at the Headline Money awards at the Hilton Hotel in London's Park Lane.
Hundreds of journalists who use the Headline Money website voted for their favourite PRs on the basis of their rapid turnaround of requests for information and comment, along with their ability to deliver background information.
The judges said: "Mel apparently works around the clock – and no request is too complicated or labour intensive." Another said: "She is one contact I simply couldn't do without."
Commenting, Melanie Bien said: "These are challenging times for the mortgage industry, which has dominated the media over the past year. I am delighted that Savills Private Finance enjoys such a high profile and aim to continue to build on this in the coming year."
